Pamper Evening | Beauty Regime

As promised, todays post is a little more 'beauty-related' instead of 'lifestyle-related' like the last couple posts have been!

I LOVE pamper evenings and I probably have them way too much during the week! Anyway, here are a few of the products I love to use when having a pamper evening and highly recommend to you if your looking for some new things to use in your beauty regime!

First, I like to turn some music on and that normally consists of Shawn Mendez or Ed Sheeran, purely because their music is so mellow and perfect for when you want to wind down.

Next, I'll start to run my bath using some bubble bath which has just run out, and a bath bomb if I'm going all out. I don't always have a bath bomb, just when I really fancy one! Of course, its a lush bath bomb and this one is an old one I still had called 'Northern Lights'.

Whilst running my bath, I will remove any makeup using the Garnier Micellar water, which works like an absolute dream and all removes my makeup without fail! Other times, I will use a facial wash from simple!

Then, I'll chill in the bath for a bit and maybe watch a few youtube videos before washing my hair. Recently I've been using the Tresemmé platinum strength shampoo and conditioner which has been leaving my hair silky soft! Before that, I was using the V05 smoothly does it shampoo, aimed at dry and frizzy hair, my skin type. I had really high hopes for this shampoo and conditioner as it smelt amazing for a start and it claimed to give a really glossy finish. Instead, I found it dried out my hair and just added to the frizz. Since I've been using the Tresemmé one, my hair has drunk up a lot more moisture, leaving it a lot more sleek and silky. It also feels a lot thicker and as for the shampoo itself, I feel it lathers up much better than the V05 one!

I'll then grab a body scrub and I'm currently using Soap and Glory's scrub of your life, which again lathers up really well and a little goes a long way! It has a really warming scent, very similar if not the same as their famous righteous butter!

After catching up on a few youtube videos, I'll hop out of the bath and dry off before starting my skincare. On a day to day basis I just cleanse, tone and moisturise, however on days like this I tend to go the extra mile. First, I use my kaeso facial scrub to remove any dry or dead skin and then splash my face with cold water, wipe my face with a towel and start with a toner from simple! Then I'll apply moisturiser and the one I've been loving recently is the Simple light moisturiser, it's a really nice rich but light consistency and isn't too thick, so your face doesn't stick to your pillow during the night. If I'm in the mood, I'll pop in a face mask too, I love the ones from Superdrug as they are cheap but work just the same! My favourite is the Dead Sea clay mask, it purifies and revitalises my skin so it looks slightly more radiant.

I'll then jump into some cosy PJ's and this normally consists of some good old fluffy ones from primarny! Gotta love em'! If I haven't already, I'll pour myself a hot beverage which will either be a tea or hot chocolate if I'm really in the mood. Then I head straight to bed and wrap myself up in blankets and my duvet whilst scrolling through my social media! Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat... You know the drill! I might watch a bit of TV if it isn't too late... Although this does depend on whether it's a school night or not!

So that's it from me! Hope you enjoyed today's post! Sorry for the infrequent uploads recently.. Both me and Victoria are trying to keep on top of our schoolwork / GCSES and things!

Until next time...

Mental Detox | Acceptance

I think the most important thing when growing up is acceptance. Accepting that some people you will get along with and others you won't. Its about accepting the changes happening to you and embracing the body you have because unlike most things, it'll be with you for a lifetime!

I'm personally quite self-conscious but I don't usually show it. At the age of 12/13 I started to wear makeup after discovering my favourite beauty bloggers and youtubers. I loved it because it was a fun, creative outlet that gave me slightly more confidence. However, no one should hide behind their makeup because we should all feel beautiful in ourselves! Makeup, or no makeup. It's one of these things that is WAY easier said than done and I'm still working on it myself, but its to accept and embrace YOU. Yes, that includes your spots, blemishes, hair colour, eye colour, figure and whatever makes you, you.

It's so easy to look around and compare yourself to everyone else, as if they have no insecurities themselves. I admit it! I've done it and I bet you have too.

You cannot be all things to all people. Be unique. Be different. Give to others what you want yourself, and do what you were made to do. After all, the happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have. Accept you for you, because you are your own version of beautiful.
